2010 Halloween
Show Announced!
THE POST-MERIDIAN
RADIO PLAYERS return to the Somerville
Theatre this October with another Halloween radio extravanagnza!
The Big Broadcast
of 1946 will feature live entertainment as originally heard on radio station WPM on the night of Sunday, October 27th, 1946, including:
The Frank Cyrano Byfar Hour: It's Halloween and Frank is desperate to get Boris Karloff — visiting Boston in a performance of Arsenic and Old Lace — onto the show. With just a few hours left to air, Frank is in a panic and only a miracle will save the Rooftop Garden Players' climactic production!
Tomes of Terror: Another Boston original! WPM's classic frightfest, hosted by The Bookeeper. Twin tales of terror designed to keep you glued to your seats before sending you screaming from the theater! Featuring:
But Oh, What Happened to Hutchings!
and The Sirens of War
Written for PMRP by award-winning
author Alicia
E. Goranson, The Mask of Inanna is two five-part
miniseries which tell the story of Leonard Allen, host of
the 1950's horror radio show After Dark, who is taken
out of retirement by a mysterious organization to finish broadcasting
the unaired episodes over a pirate radio station based out
of a New England lighthouse.
Each episode is two shows in one—the main story in
a modern setting and an episode of the original After
Dark—and features a terrific cast, including Andrew
LeBrun, Nellie Farrington, Doug Miller, Katherine Bryant,
Mike Babish, Marleigh Norton and James Scheffller.
